Custom shorts are a high-velocity, repeat-purchase product for DTC brands, gym apparel lines, and streetwear labels. Potato Apparel manufactures OEM and ODM shorts across styles from 5-panel athletic gym shorts to cargo utility shorts, board shorts, and fleece sweat shorts — using cotton, performance polyester, nylon, and nylon-spandex blends.
MOQ from 50 pieces per style. Key construction options include elastic waistbands with drawcord, side slash pockets, back patch or zip pockets, mesh liner, and length from 5-inch (athletic) to 9-inch (casual). Cargo shorts with side pockets and strap details are available. Inseam can be customized to the exact length specified in your tech pack.
Fabrics: 100% cotton fleece shorts (280–360GSM), 4-way stretch nylon shorts for athletic applications, woven polyester shorts for board-short styles, and cotton/polyester blend for everyday casual. Sublimation printing is available on polyester shorts for all-over graphic placement. Screen print, embroidery, and heat transfer available on all fabrics.

What short lengths are available?
We manufacture shorts in any inseam length specified in your tech pack. Common lengths are 5-inch (athletic cut), 7-inch (standard casual), and 9-inch (relaxed). We can also produce shorts to a custom length or with an adjustable hem.
Can you add a liner to gym shorts?
Yes. A mesh or compression liner inside gym shorts is a standard option. We can match liner fabric color to your outer shell or use a contrast color. Brief-style and half-liner options are both available.
Are board shorts and swim shorts available?
Yes. We produce traditional board shorts in woven polyester with a side pocket and velcro fly closure, as well as stretch-woven hybrid styles that function both as swim shorts and casual wear. We can add a UPF rating to the fabric on request.
What is the minimum order quantity for custom shorts?
MOQ is 50 pieces per style with color and size mixing allowed. For sublimation all-over print shorts, MOQ is also 50 pcs per design.
