Custom dress manufacturing combines the precision of pattern making with the commercial need for consistent sizing and impeccable construction across every unit in a style run. Potato Apparel produces OEM and ODM dresses across a broad range of silhouettes — fitted bodycon and mini dresses, relaxed midi and maxi styles, shirt dresses, wrap dresses, slip dresses, and tiered smock dresses — in both woven and knit fabric constructions.
We work with women's fashion brands, boutique labels, e-commerce sellers, and resort wear collections who need professional manufacturing from 50 pieces per style. Our production team is experienced in the pattern engineering that makes dresses fit well across a size run — consistent armhole placement, balanced skirt drape, and precise zip or button placket alignment.
Fabrics: 200GSM rib knit for form-fitting bodycon styles, 100% viscose woven for fluid maxi and wrap dresses, cotton poplin for structured shirt dresses, linen and linen-blend for resort and summer styles, and 4-way stretch fabric for athleisure-inspired dresses. Custom Pantone dyeing from 100 pcs.
Garment details available: smocked waist or bodice, puff sleeves, ruffled hem tiers, cutout details, tie-front and wrap closure, exposed zip or invisible zip, and lining in woven styles. Decoration: embroidery, screen print, and hand embellishment available. Sample turnaround 7–10 business days.

What dress styles can you manufacture?
We produce bodycon mini dresses, wrap dresses, shirt dresses, smocked-bodice dresses, slip dresses, tiered maxi dresses, off-shoulder and strappy styles, and sundresses. If you have a reference garment or tech pack for an unusual construction, we can advise on feasibility and cost.
Can you produce dresses in both woven and knit fabric?
Yes. Woven fabrics (viscose, cotton, linen, poplin) are used for structured and fluid styles. Knit fabrics (rib knit, jersey, ponte) are used for stretchy, form-fitting styles. Some dresses combine both — for example, a woven bodice with a knit skirt.
Is lining available on custom dresses?
Yes. Lining is recommended for woven styles and any dress with a transparent outer fabric. We use standard polyester lining or cotton batiste for a more natural feel. Partial lining (bodice only) is also available.
What is the MOQ for custom dresses?
Our MOQ is 50 pieces per style with size mixing allowed. For styles with custom-dyed fabric or custom hardware (buttons, zippers), MOQ is 100 pcs per colorway.
